Also, his associate Cynthia A. Smith, CS, FNP is a very bright clinical specialist with a wide range of experience both in family medicine and gynecology. A Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is an advanced clinical specialist with national board certification and prescription writing authority. Family Nurse Practitioners are trained to treat and manage conditions across the life span. In this role, they order diagnostic testing including labs and x-rays and are often trained to do many types of procedures such as cryotherapy, colposcopy and endometrial biopsy.
